Office 365 or O365 (Microsoft’s Online/Cloud Environment):
· With O365 faculty, staff and students get access to online/cloud versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and much more. These online office tools can be used to create and edit office documents, spreadsheet, presentation, etc. using a browser, even on a computer or tablet where the full version of Office is not available.
· In addition, faculty, staff and students have a OneDrive within their Office 365 environment. OneDrive is cloud based storage (alternative to DropBox, Google Drive, etc..) for files of any type. Your STU OneDrive is 5 Terabyte of storage which you can securely access from anywhere.
To access O365 go to https://portal.office.com and log in with your STU network ID and password.
Free MS Office Download
St. Thomas University, via our Office 365 agreement, provides Microsoft Office to current students, faculty and staff free of charge. You can download and run this free version on up to 5 compatible PCs, Macs, or tablets.
To get your FREE versions of MSOffice, log into O365 at https://portal.office.com using your STU network ID and password. Click on “Install Office Apps” on the right side of the page and follow the instruction provided.
