    Technical Support from Bell Aliant

    If you have any problems with the FibreOP services in your room.
    Before calling Bell Aliant, You must get the phone number associated with your room from your RA.

    Once you know your phone number, please contact Bell Aliant at 1-866-342-7367 and follow the options below.

    • At 1st Prompt – 1 for English OR 2 for French
    • At 2nd prompt – When asked for a 10-digit phone number enter 506 and then the phone number associated with your room (get from RA)
    • At 3rd prompt – Press 1 for technical support
    • At 4th prompt – Press 2 for internet

    Once connected to a Bell Aliant Support person let them know:

    • You are calling about a residence room at St. Thomas University, they will ask your name.
    • They may then need the serial number off your modem (Black unit with lights) to find your exact connection.

    If they cannot fix it immediately, they will need your residence name and room number to send a technician out to help you.

    Tips for connecting to the Internet

    • Your Wi-Fi Network Name and Password can be found on the sticker on the front of the Bell Aliant modem.
    • A wired Internet connection requires only a network cable to be plugged into the port on the Bell Aliant router.
